“Cragwood Country House Hotel strikes me as the sort of place where afternoon tea lingers into evening cocktails. Its lakeside setting and gardens promise a tranquil escape, even with a dog in tow. While some service hiccups seem to occur, the commitment to local sourcing and those AA Rosettes suggest dining is a genuine highlight.”

constant noise thin walls
Room 10 must be avoided. It faced the small parking area and overlooked the kitchen. I heard all the kitchen staff, doors banging, even the sounds of food preparation. Noise upstairs woke me up at 3 a.m. and again around 6 a.m.

frozen chips black pudding
The breakfast menu had good quality food.
I was disappointed. The steak I ordered was almost £30, so I did not expect frozen chips. The half slice of black pudding felt cheap. I also asked for no beans, but I did not get offered an extra mushroom or tomato.

My room had a coffee machine and a kettle. All products provided in the bathroom were from natural sources. The bathroom offered plenty of space with good mirrors.
I could smell dog in my room. The table in the restaurant was sticky. I thought that the decoration needed a good clean.
